Reeling Bucks visit Warriors
Basketball Betting Lines
01/15/2010 -
(Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Something has to give for the Milwaukee Bucks on their
current six-game road trip, as they pay a visit to the Golden State Warriors
tonight at ORACLE Arena.
Milwaukee has lost the first three contests of its road swing and is coming
off Wednesday's 120-108 loss at Portland. Ersan Ilyasova tied a career-high
with 24 points and also grabbed five rebounds for the Bucks, whose three-game
slide comes on the heels of a three-game winning streak.
"They were just in a different gear than us for most of the night. They were
quicker, more athletic, and drove by us pretty much at will," Bucks head coach
Scott Skiles said of the Trail Blazers.
Jodie Meeks added 21 points off the bench, while Charlie Bell, Brandon
Jennings and Luke Ridnour each had 12 points in defeat. The Bucks are only
4-14 away from the Bradley Center this season and will also visit Utah and
Houston on the current road trip.
Golden State will resume a seven-game homestand Friday and fell to 1-2 on the
residency following Wednesday's 115-102 loss versus the Miami Heat.
Corey Maggette ended with 25 points and Anthony Morrow scored 24 for the
Warriors, who have dropped two straight and five of seven overall. Golden
State is 7-9 in Oakland this season and will also host the Bulls, Nuggets and
Nets on the homestand.
"That was an incredible performance with a bad wrist," Warriors coach Don
Nelson said of Heat star Dwayne Wade, who scored 35 points with a balky wrist.
"He played hurt. Thirty-five minutes, 35 points. He also controlled the game
and had nine assists. He was incredible."
On the injury front for the Warriors, forward Vladimir Radmanovic (Achilles),
center Ronny Turiaf (ankle) and guard C.J. Watson (hand/finger) are all listed
as doubtful for Friday's game against Milwaukee.
Milwaukee defeated Golden State, 129-125, back on November 14 in Wisconsin and
has won two straight and five of the past eight meetings between the teams.
The Bucks, however, are winless in their last two trips to Oakland.
